How to choose the right size
Our Silver Nursing Cups come in two sizes — Regular and Large. Both soothe and protect in exactly the same way; the only difference is the diameter, so it simply comes down to comfort and fit.
The cup should sit over your nipple and the area right around it, with the rim resting gently on the skin rather than pressing in. It doesn't need to cover your whole areola — just the nipple and the tissue around it, where friction happens.
As a general guide
Regular — cup sizes A to C, or an areola around 45mm (4.5cm) or smaller.
Large — cup sizes above C, or an areola larger than around 45mm (4.5cm).
No need to measure exactly — your current bra cup size is the easiest guide, and the areola size is just a rough check (45mm is a little under 2 inches).
Between sizes, or not sure? Go with Large. A slightly larger cup is more comfortable, while one that leaves marks or pinches is too small. It's also perfectly fine to wear a different size on each side, and Large is the safest choice if you're buying as a gift.
Care Instructions
Silver can tarnish over time due to the natural oxidation process however it is still safe and effective to use.
- Rinse in warm water between use or prepare a
cleaning paste using a teaspoon of bicarbonate
soda and a few drops of water.
- Gently massage the the cleaning paste over the cup and rinse with water.
- Clean every few hours or between feeds.

While some moms like to add a few drops of breast milk into each cup before use, it’s completely optional. Wear your MammaBump silver nursing cups as long as you can between feeds, and simply remove them when it’s time to nurse again.
How do I clean the MammaBump silver nursing cups?
Thanks to their antibacterial properties, there is no need to sterilize your MammaBump silver nursing cups. To keep them looking their best and free from residue, simply wash them daily with warm water. Do not wash in the dishwasher.
Silver will naturally tarnish over time. This does not affect the safety or effectiveness of the cups. If you’d like to give them an extra shine, you can gently polish them with a paste made from baking soda and a little water. Just be sure to dry them thoroughly afterward to prevent any staining or oxidation.

I bought these prior to giving birth and I’m SOO thankful that I did. These have been an absolute game changer, during my breastfeeding experience thus far… I wear them all the time and they’ve definitely saved my nipples from cracking/ excessive soreness. They’ve even aided in the recovery of one of my nipples which was blistered after the first feed! Would encourage anyone who chooses to breastfeed, to purchase these! And wear them straight away, even if you think you don’t need to, you will!!

These have been miraculous. When I started breastfeeding, I had a lot of soreness and cracking (as is normal), but it would basically heal overnight with these on. Compared to my first pregnancy without these, I’ve noticed a huge difference. All the hospital nurses swore by them, I’m so glad I had them. Some nurses suggested putting on nipple balm under these, but I found I had more success with the shields just on their own, and the healing was a lot faster.
I bought these for my daughter for her breastfeeding journey as with her 1st baby she became so sore she gave up but I have to say I would highly reccomend these as she is not sore at all they are amazing she said its the best gift anyone could have bought she loves them especially when they come out of the fridge my daughter has ginger hair so prone to getting sore have to say again highly recommend ☺️

This is my fourth baby & typically the first week or two. My nipples are always very sore/cracked. This is the first time I have used these silver nursing cups; and on postpartum day 4 it has been a different experience because of them. They really relieve the pain and prevent further issues. It’s like they have time to heal between nursing sessions with these on!

The silver nursing cups are working a treat in these early postpartum days I really disliked using any gels last time so this is a great alternative! I also can't get enough of the incredible quality of the reusable milk storage bags! Highly recommend.

Seem to be working really well and providing much needed relief.
So I've been using these for the past week every day. I had a blister forming due to teething and poor latch and its gone! No pain no dryness they work amazing. I find them very comfortable to wear all day and easy to rinse, with a perfect little bag to pop them in when dry and not in use.
These have been a life saver for my breast feeding journey. My son's latch totally changed once teething started which caused my nipples to become extremely sore. Within 48 hours of wearing the silver nursing cups they had pretty much healed! Now I just keep them in my bra to prevent further damage. Would highly recommend!
